MEET RAQEY ALLARAQYA THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER IN EAST AFRICA
The corner stone for Raqey’s photography
career was a borrowed customer’s camera, which was brought in for
repairs at his father’s workshop. After dreaming about it for a while,
he started I-View Media, a leading Multi-Media ‘kitchen’ for imaginary creativity in the country.
Currently, Raqey Mohamed is Managing Director and Creative Consultant for I-View Media.
Having dedicated his time in the photography business, his photographs
have been featured in various ad campaigns run by different governments
and ad agencies, for example Sky-Pix in Kenya, Aggrey & Clifford in
Tanzania and the Government of Tanzania’s high-profile Malaria No More
(Zinduka) campaign.
He has also covered various fashion events in the country, as well as Swahili Fashion Week 2010.
Raqey lives in Dar Es salaam with his wife Sarah and three children.
